Recently, the National Intelligent Sensor Innovation Center Joint Laboratory was officially opened in Jiading, Shanghai.


It was learned from the Shanghai Economic and Information Committee that the National Intelligent Sensors Joint Laboratory (hereinafter referred to as the “Joint Laboratory”) is an important part of the construction of the National Intelligent Sensor Innovation Center, and will rely on the key common technologies and leading enterprises of the sensor independently developed by the Innovation Center. Advanced device solutions to develop multi-sensor data fusion systems to provide an experimental environment for technological innovation and standardization.

Guided by industry and market demand, the joint lab provides intelligent sensor verification and pilot platforms for seven application areas to shorten development cycles and accelerate the scale of innovation.


According to the Shanghai Economic and Information Commission, the joint laboratory plans to cover an area of 2,000 square meters. The first phase has been activated and more than 50 cooperative units. In the field of sensor devices, the joint laboratory focuses on six major areas of motion sensors, optical sensors, acoustic sensors, environmental sensors, biosensors and RF sensors, as well as IoT communication modules, and has built a large database of sensors. Currently, more than 10,000 sensors have been included.


In the field of sensor applications, the Joint Lab provides a verification and demonstration platform for key applications such as smart cars, industrial Internet of Things, smart buildings and homes, smart agriculture, biomedical, environmental monitoring and seven smart sensors for robots.
